Directly from Sam and Head of Product at OpenAI, “GPT-5 is 5x to 10x more powerful than GPT-4. We don’t think the current benchmarks will mean much going forward.”
We obviously don’t know what 5x to 10x really means but it does suggest that the model will be in a class in of itself when it drops soon.
